To reduce soil erosion and increase water retention capacity of the catchment and increase water harvesting capacity of the local communities (strength community resilience against drought in drought prone areas) through biological and engineering measures, catchment treatment plan of forest of dry lateritic zone of South West Bengal shall be prepared and necessary measures according to the plan to be followed up.
