In order to reduce risk of high-tide flooding by increasing water embankment capacities, bamboo-based coastal defense structure shall be introduced with augmentation of vegetation cover including dibbling of mangrove on a pilot basis. Coastal areas of buffer zone of STR and other WLS in South 24 parganas shall be selected as project site.
